House Rules

Every NomieRest home has the same house standards posted in the kitchen on move-in day. These rules are how shared living stays comfortable for everyone. They are part of your lease.

Quiet hours

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM Friday and Saturday. Conversations, calls, television, and music should be kept to a level that cannot be heard from a neighbouring bedroom during these hours.

Cleaning rhythm

Common areas (kitchen, baths, hallways, living rooms) are cleaned by NomieRest on a recurring schedule. Between cleanings, residents are expected to:

• Wash, dry, and put away their dishes within 24 hours.
• Wipe the stove and counters after cooking.
• Take out trash and recycling on the posted day.
• Keep personal items in their bedroom or assigned storage.

Guest policy

Day visitors are always welcome. Overnight guests are limited to seven (7) nights per calendar month and require a heads-up to your roommates. Anything longer becomes a roommate conversation; please contact us before extending.

No subletting

Your room is yours alone. Subletting, room-swapping with another resident, or listing the room on any short-term rental platform is not permitted.

Smoking and substances

All NomieRest homes are non-smoking, including vapes, indoors. Use of any illegal substance on the premises is prohibited and grounds for immediate termination of the lease.

Pets

Pet policies vary by building. Some rooms at our 721 W 15th St townhome welcome small pets with a refundable deposit and pet rent. The Wabash and Franklin homes are currently pet-free. Service animals are always accommodated in accordance with applicable law.

Damages and incidents

Wear and tear is expected. Damage outside that — broken glass, stained mattresses, wall repairs — is billed to the responsible resident. If you are unsure who caused damage, tell us early; we'd rather hear it from you than discover it later.
